WEEK 1

This week is all about getting under the skin of your business; getting some clarity on where you are now, where you want to get to, and identifying the gaps we need to address to get you there as swiftly as possible. There is a fair amount to do this week, it’s important stuff. We get the worst stuff out of the way first!

Online Questionnaire & business deep dive

This week I will be investigating the detail you’ve given me in your questionnaire, (if you haven’t yet filled it out please do) and starting to consider how your brand should feel to be compelling for your clients.

Your worksheet is in the Google Drive, or can be accessed here too…

I suggest you print it and fill it out with a pen!

Income

What do you need to earn per month/ week?

What do you currently earn? What is the current breakdown of your income - clients, sales, services etc.

What would you like to earn? Think big!

What is the most profitable product or service you offer?

Is there anything you could offer that you don’t currently, that you would like to, and would increase your income? Do you need to up-skill in order for this to happen or does something need to change (be able to order larger quantities of stock for example)? If so, what are the skills/changes you need?

Are you limited by the number of hours you have - do you sell time for money? If you make something, are you limited by your time?

Are there skills that you could buy in that would free your time in some way? Could you work with a Virtual assistant for your admin, or a social media manager to help with your content for your social media channels? If you are product based - could you do drop shipping, outsource your packaging and postage, have brand reps, work in collaboration with other people in your industry, and have a referral fee or kickback in some way?

Is there another business model that would enable you to create some form of passive income that you don’t currently have? Is there something you could teach in an online course for example? Could you package your services in another way rather than by time? Would people like to learn the skills you have?

Could other people make or sell your products for you?

What specifically has to happen or change for your income to get to the ‘like to earn’ level?

Turn to the first page in your workbook, and complete the sections under ‘income’ STEP 1.

Ideal working week

This is an exercise to determine what an ideal working week would look like for you, then we can work backwards from there.

Let’s decide what your ideal week looks like, this is what we are aiming for - it doesn’t need to reflect where you are right now. In an ideal world…

How many hours a week would you like to work?

How many a month?

Is there anything else you would like to factor into your week - would you like to be able to offer some pro bono work for example?

How fixed / flexible do you want to be in your week? Would you prefer to have specific weekly slots for things, or do you prefer to be able to be more flexible (so you can work around the family for example, possibly weekend and evenings?)

The direction you are taking your in your business needs to align with your available time and your income goals. Be ambitious, whilst knowing the time you have at your disposal.

That way you can focus on the action that moves the needle in your business fastest.

This is the important work.
